Buyer Cover

Buyer Cover is included on every single purchase you make through Frippy. It's there so you can shop secondhand with confidence, knowing your money is protected until you've got your item.

What it covers

If something goes wrong with an order, Buyer Cover has your back. You're protected if:

  • Your item never arrives.
  • It arrives significantly not as described in the listing.
  • It arrives damaged.
  • It isn't the item you ordered.
  • It looks like a counterfeit sold as genuine.

In any of these cases you can open a dispute, and if it's resolved in your favour you'll get a full or partial refund.

What it doesn't cover

Buyer Cover is about protecting you from things going wrong, not change of mind. It doesn't cover:

  • Changing your mind after buying.
  • Minor differences from the listing photos, like slight colour variations.
  • Items that were accurately described by the seller.

If you change your mind, you're welcome to message the seller to arrange a return, but that's between you and them, and return postage would be on you.

How your money is held

When you pay for an item, your money is held securely by our payment provider, Stripe. The seller only gets paid once you've confirmed your item arrived and you're happy with it, or automatically 72 hours after the carrier marks it delivered if no dispute is raised. That window is your chance to check everything's sweet.

What it costs

The price you see already includes Buyer Cover: $1.25 plus 5% of what you pay for the item or items, after any bundle discount and before postage. Postage is the only amount added at checkout. Buyer Cover pays for secure payment processing, dispute resolution, and refund support. Sellers pay nothing to list or sell.
